Day 1

If you haven't read any of my book posted, Searching for the Answer, Then I would like to introduce myself. I am Shawn Greinert and I am 31 years old. I went through quite the traumatic childhood that involved all three forms of abuse. Physical, emotional, and worst of all, sexual. From my experiences I have learned a tremendous amount about human behavior, and I was at one point a psychology minor at Texas A&M. After two years of counseling, I was able to form all of my memories into a compilation of short stories that I post on my blog, searching for the answer. I will daily update the novel with a new story and am going to use this blog as a means of documenting my daily life and struggles and how I cope with the past. Hopefully you will find interest in my stories and for those who have also gone through trauma, you will find you are not alone, not one single bit.

Day 2 Lawsuit neverending

One of the most frustrating things i have to deal with in my life is the ongoing lawsuit between my brother and my sister and I. In 2019 my grandmother became incapacitated and couldn't make decisions or fully care for herself. As a result, she and my grandfather when sound of mind gave my sister the power of attorney and provider of care for our grandmother in the event a situation like this were to happen where Wilma needed help with day to day living. Day 3

I spent the majority of the day editing my rough draft of my life story. I think it is good thus far, but combining all of the short stories into one cohesive novel is a bit of a daunting task. One accomplishment today was that I have changed literally every name of a person or town in the novel which has had this surprising effect of distancing me from the trauma. I'm reading the story of Michael not Shawn and this occurred in Oakridge Arkansas, a town that probably doesn't exist.  After my sister spoke with our lawyer there has been an agreed upon $7,000 distribution to be given out in time for me to pay for my car's completion. It needs $6,700 to rebuild the rear differential. I really like the car it's 2006 black Pontiac solstice convertible standard transmission, but it has cost me literally all of my distribution money. Regardless, I finally get to call the shop Monday and tell them to begin work so in about a month i will finally have my car back.  I don't kn...
